A snowstorm started on the afternoon of January 26, and concluded in the early hours of the morning on January 27.
The total snow accumulation measured at Central Park Belvedere Castle which is about a half mile from the camera site was about 15 inches.
The photos below were taken about 6am before the sun and wind could destroy the scene

For all the camera folks: The photos were taken with a Sony Cybershot X5. Lighting was a combination of the camera's internal flash and the sodium street lights.
I think it's impressive for a camera smaller than a pack of cigarettes.
